Why subscribe?

I have always wondered better ways for technology to be built. My experience contributing to data access and technology in Africa has showed me that as much as we need to talk about the technology, we also need to talk about the market and adoption around it.

Technology yes, but also the systems that decide whether it goes anywhere including markets, funding, incentives, and the harder, less glamorous questions underneath them. What makes information valuable? What does durable innovation actually take? What does it take to build a strong ecosystem around a technology, and who gets to shape that?

I write from the technical side of Geospatial, Earth Observation and AI, building and working with the data, models, and tools used in the industry.
